Twisted Tower True Ending Guide: How to Win Back the Love of Your Life (Charlotte Ending)

There are horror games where you play simply to survive, and then there are games that make you care about why you are surviving in the first place. Twisted Tower falls into the second category for me.

At first glance, Atmos Games’ bizarre horror adventure looks like someone threw BioShock, classic theme-park horror, cartoon violence, and Willy Wonka into the same blender. Then you meet Tiny, understand why he entered Mr. Twister’s nightmare of a game show, and realize that there is actually something more personal underneath all the guns, traps, monsters, and ridiculous-looking mascots.

Tiny wants Charlotte back.

That sounds almost embarrassingly simple compared with everything happening inside the tower. But that is exactly what makes the Twisted Tower True Ending so interesting. The game isn’t only asking whether you can survive. It asks what kind of person Tiny becomes while trying to reach Charlotte.

And if you’re aiming for the Win Back the Love of Your Life Ending, you can’t treat the tower like a normal first-person shooter. Shooting everything that moves is tempting. Honestly, sometimes it feels like the game is practically begging you to do it. But the Charlotte route is built around restraint, exploration, and a handful of easily missed secrets.

Here is how I approached the route and what you need to keep in mind if you want the best possible ending.

What Makes the Charlotte Ending Different?

The biggest mistake you can make is assuming that reaching the top of Twisted Tower is enough.

It isn’t.

The True Ending path appears to depend on several hidden conditions, including your behavior during the run, optional collectibles, secret areas, and the choices you make during the final confrontation.

The basic idea is surprisingly straightforward:

Tiny needs to prove that he isn’t willing to become another monster just to get what he wants.

That theme runs through the entire route.

There is also an important progression requirement. Your first completion is effectively the setup for the more complete second run. Once you have finished the initial story and unlocked the equivalent of a Narrative New Game Plus, you can revisit the tower with additional opportunities and altered interactions.

That second run is where the real Charlotte hunt begins.

The Most Important Rule: Don’t Kill Everything

This is probably the biggest piece of advice I can give.

Do not play the second run like a shooting gallery.

Twisted Tower gives Tiny some seriously entertaining weapons. The Tommy Gun is especially useful when the game decides to throw something horrible at you, and the Harpoon Gun has its own advantages. But having a weapon doesn’t mean you need to use it every five seconds.

The True Ending route places much more importance on avoiding unnecessary violence.

You don’t have to become a perfect pacifist. Mandatory combat encounters are still part of the game. Mascots and hostile creatures that are clearly designed as enemies can be dealt with normally.

The problem comes when you start killing neutral characters, trapped contestants, or NPCs that could have been saved.

My advice is simple:

  • Avoid killing neutral NPCs whenever possible.
  • Save trapped characters instead of ignoring them.
  • Use movement abilities to bypass enemies when you can.
  • Don’t shoot something just because it moved.
  • Be especially careful during optional encounters.

The tower gives you plenty of tools for avoiding trouble. The spin dash, high jump, sliding movement, and environmental shortcuts can turn some encounters into something closer to a platforming puzzle than a firefight.

And honestly, that’s more fun.

Floor 1: Search the Lobby Before Taking the Elevator

The opening section is easy to underestimate.

After meeting Mr. Twister and entering the main lobby, you’ll encounter Patricia and start getting a better idea of how strange this place really is.

Don’t rush through this section.

Talk to Patricia repeatedly until her dialogue begins looping. It is one of those small interactions that feels meaningless the first time you see it, which is exactly why it is easy to ignore.

Before leaving the lobby, search behind the counter in the main shop area.

This is where you can find Charlotte’s Old Diary, the first important memory item for the romance route.

I strongly recommend developing a habit of checking corners, storage spaces, counters, side rooms, and suspicious-looking walls throughout the entire game. Twisted Tower hides some of its most important material in places that are completely optional during a normal playthrough.

The diary isn’t just another collectible. It helps establish the emotional side of Tiny’s relationship with Charlotte and contributes to the later ending sequence.

Floor 2: The Jerry Theater Trap

The theater section is where the game starts messing with your head.

You’ll encounter stage illusions, strange audio cues, and voices that sound like Charlotte calling Tiny.

Don’t automatically assume every voice is part of the main objective.

Some of these sounds can lead you toward hidden areas containing memory fragments. Following them is risky, but the reward is worth the detour if you’re working toward the True Ending.

The major collectible here is the Golden Locket.

Look for the prop wall inside the Flip Room after completing the gravity puzzle. The locket is easy to miss if you’re simply following the obvious route.

Then comes the Duck with a Gun encounter.

This is one of those moments where the game practically dares you to empty your Tommy Gun into the enemy.

Don’t.

Instead, use the environment to disarm the encounter.

The important distinction is that you’re not necessarily supposed to win every confrontation through raw damage. Some encounters are designed around interacting with the environment, and the Duck fight is one of the clearest examples.

Getting through it without directly destroying the boss helps preserve the cleaner route you’re trying to build.

Floor 3: The Photo Booth Secret

The Photo Booth puzzle is one of my favorite ideas in the route because it connects the bizarre physical world of Twisted Tower to Tiny’s memories.

You’ll need to manipulate the camera lenses and recreate the correct childhood image of Tiny and Charlotte.

Don’t just take the standard progression photograph.

Solving the puzzle correctly opens a hidden panel containing the Velvet Ribbon.

That item becomes important much later, so don’t leave it behind.

After that, you’ll eventually reach the Kitchen section.

This is another place where rushing can ruin your run. Trapped workers can be saved by shutting down the gas lines before the timer expires.

If you’re trying to get the Charlotte Ending, saving them should be considered mandatory.

It also fits the route thematically. Tiny is supposed to be choosing people over personal gain, and the game keeps giving you opportunities to demonstrate that.

The Secret Boss You Shouldn’t Ignore

This is the part that can make an otherwise successful run fall apart.

During the second playthrough, pay attention to the area after the Drill Monster encounter.

You should notice a strange glowing ledge that wasn’t particularly useful during the initial run.

Reach it and perform an upward attack into the corner.

You’ll break a hidden structural button.

That opens a much larger gate lower in the section and reveals the optional Secret Boss area.

And yes, you absolutely want to do this if you’re going for the True Ending.

The Secret Boss isn’t just an extra challenge thrown in for completionists. Defeating it is tied to the final romance route and removes the dark influence that Mr. Twister has placed on Tiny.

The fight itself is much more dangerous than the normal enemies surrounding it.

The Harpoon Gun becomes particularly useful here. Focus on the boss’s weak points while paying attention to the environmental hazards. Don’t tunnel-vision the health bar.

Once the boss goes down, you receive the Pure Heart achievement.

For me, this is the moment where the entire route finally makes sense. The game isn’t simply rewarding you for finding a secret room. It is rewarding you for following the moral direction that the Charlotte ending has been pushing you toward from the beginning.

Collect All Five Memory Items

By the time you reach the final stages, you should have collected all five important childhood and historical mementos.

The major ones include:

Twisted Tower True Ending Guide: How to Win Back the Love of Your Life (Charlotte Ending)

ItemMain LocationWhy It Matters
Charlotte’s Old DiaryFloor 1 LobbyEstablishes Charlotte’s personal memories
Golden LocketFloor 2 Flip RoomRepresents Tiny and Charlotte’s relationship
Velvet RibbonFloor 3 Photo BoothUsed during the final emotional sequence
Historical Document #1Hidden Side RoomContributes to Tiny’s memory path
Historical Document #2Hidden Side RoomCompletes the lore requirement

I would not recommend trying to speedrun the tower while chasing the True Ending.

The whole route depends on optional exploration, and missing one room can mean replaying large sections later.

The Final Battle Against Mr. Twister

Eventually, all roads lead to Mr. Twister.

The final battle is split into several stages, and you need to approach it differently from the regular combat encounters.

Phase One: Survive the Chaos

Mr. Twister throws toys, explosive objects, mascots, and environmental attacks at you.

Don’t get greedy.

Keep moving, maintain some distance, and use the Tommy Gun when you have a clean opening.

The biggest danger isn’t necessarily his direct damage. It’s getting trapped while the arena fills with additional enemies.

Mobility matters more than squeezing out another few seconds of damage.

Phase Two: The Illusions of Charlotte

This is where your earlier choices finally come back.

Mr. Twister creates massive illusions involving Charlotte and Preston, attempting to exploit Tiny’s fears and insecurities.

If you’ve collected the required memory items, Tiny is able to reject the manipulation.

That creates a major opening against Mr. Twister.

If you’ve missed the necessary memories, however, the sequence becomes much more difficult and can push you toward one of the less satisfying endings.

This is why I keep saying that the collectibles aren’t just collectibles. They’re basically pieces of Tiny’s ability to resist the tower.

The Final Choice Determines Everything

After the battle, the game moves into its final television-broadcast sequence.

Charlotte is trapped above the collapsing arena while Preston and Mr. Twister present Tiny with the ultimate temptation.

You can pursue the money.

You can choose violence.

Or you can give everything up.

For the Twisted Tower True Ending, you need to choose the option that effectively means:

Release the Child / Forfeit the Prize Money.

This is the choice that completes the route.

Tiny gives up the ten-million-dollar prize instead of treating Charlotte as another prize to be won.

And that distinction is important.

The entire story begins with Tiny entering the tower because he wants fame, money, and Charlotte back. By the end, the best ending asks him to let go of the first two things and prove that Charlotte isn’t something he can simply win.

That’s why I think the Charlotte Ending works better than it initially sounds on paper.

Twisted Tower True Ending Checklist

Before entering the final sequence, make sure you’ve done all of the following:

  1. Complete the game once and unlock the second-run/Narrative New Game Plus progression.
  2. Keep your second run as non-lethal as possible, especially around neutral NPCs and trapped contestants.
  3. Collect all five important memory and lore items.
  4. Save characters whenever the game gives you the opportunity.
  5. Find the hidden button after the Drill Monster.
  6. Defeat the Secret Boss and obtain the Pure Heart achievement.
  7. Reach the final confrontation with Mr. Twister.
  8. Choose to forfeit the prize money rather than taking the reward or using violence to claim Charlotte.

Final Thoughts

The Twisted Tower True Ending is a lot more satisfying when you stop thinking about it as a checklist and start looking at what the game is actually trying to say.

Tiny enters the tower wanting to win.

He wants the money. He wants recognition. Most of all, he wants Charlotte.

But the True Ending forces him to understand that getting what you want isn’t the same thing as earning it.

The non-lethal choices, the hidden memories, the Secret Boss, and the final sacrifice all reinforce that idea. None of these mechanics are particularly subtle, but together they give the ending much more weight than a simple “beat the final boss and get the girl” conclusion.

So if you’re going back through Twisted Tower for the Charlotte Romance Ending, slow down.

Check the rooms.

Listen for the strange voices.

Save people when you can.

Don’t shoot everything that moves.

And when Mr. Twister finally offers you the easy way out, remember what the entire second run has been teaching Tiny.

The ten million dollars aren’t the prize. Charlotte isn’t the prize either. The real test is whether Tiny can walk away from the tower without becoming the kind of person Mr. Twister wanted him to be.

That is what makes the True Ending worth chasing.
